La Rose Noire is one of Hong Kong’s leading producers of fine bakery and pastry products.
The company has one of the widest fresh and frozen product ranges and is also one of the few manufacturers of pre-proven frozen dough: croissants, Danish pastries, specialty breads, cakes and confectionary.
Gerard Dubois is the man behind the brand. In 1990, Gerard Dubois believed he could see the future of Hong Kong’s specialized pastry needs. He summed up his vision in two words: Quality and Distribution. With little more than few hundreds thousand of Hong Kong dollars, Gerard sat down to write a business plan to replicate the standards he was setting as the Hilton International’s Area Pastry Area Chef and to sell the products to a broader audience. Fifteen years later, it is clear that Gerard had a crystal ball.
From its modern facilities in Kowloon Bay for Hong Kong and Dongguan for China Mainland, his company could meet the needs of their customers, who include hotels, airlines, private members clubs, restaurants and retailers. The company extended its passion further with the unveiling of its distributorship in China from 2006. Overseas markets include also New Zealand, Thailand, India, the USA in 2007 and then Dubai.
