2009 is ending up with Barilla Birthday promotion, the Italian pasta in the country of Chinese noodles. The promotion took place from September to December in 30 restaurants in Shanghai. The birthday star celebrates his/her birthday in one of the selected restaurants with friends, and gifts are offered with Barilla’s best wishes. As the Chinese tradition goes, when celebrating a birthday one has to eat noodles in order to have a long life. Even though the promotion is ending, you can still find Barilla pasta and it sauces in every international supermarket, expats store and the top local chains, to celebrate your birthday at home or even just to cook yourself a nice Italian pasta meal.
