Salon du Chocolat has landed in China for the second time, after Beijing in 2005, this year was Shanghai turn. The chocolate show was quite successful with more than 10,000 visitors during 3 days. There were numerous booth, displays and pastry demonstrations which attract the most curious people. Chinese public also showed great interest to premium chocolate, from handmade pralines to bars and chocolate dresses and showpieces. The founder and organizer of Salon du Chocolat, Sylvie Douce and François Jeantet have managed to group about 24 different chocolatiers from France and Europe, best craftsmen-artisan to high quality producers. Former Prime Minister of France, Mr. Jean-Pierre Raffarin, made the opening speech as he was the Honorary President of this event.
We were also a very good opportunity for our partners who were exhibiting at this event and had a great success, full of surprises from Chinese consumers: Valrhona, Villars and Revillon.

Some Chefs from Shanghai have also participated to this event: Brian Tan from HoF who had a booth with plenty of chocolate truffles, Ilhame Guerrah from Park Hyatt who did very nice chocolate hand bag and hat for the defile and more, Sarah Guo from Sheraton who made a demonstration on chocolate dimsum, Nicolas Vienne from Sofitel Hyland who took care of the coffee and restaurant area.
